An extravagant Harlequin cluster ring featuring a square face decorated with a cross of red garnets and rubies, a purple amethyst in the centre, green peridots in each corner and clear blue topaz filling in between (approx. 2.7ct total).
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the Victorian era and saw extravagant pieces covered in a colourful array of precious and semi-precious gemstones.
The large open-work gallery is crafted in silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold, creating a wonderful bed for the stones to rest on. It’s very eye catching and displays a fabulous rainbow of natural gems.
